Kristina Jones
Originally from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Kristina’s formal musical study began at age 13
when she received a bursary to study with well-known performer and teacher, June Dupuis. At 17, Kristina
left the west coast to attend Acadia University where she was awarded a full scholarship in the Vocal
Performance Program. She has performed as part of the Acadia Chamber Singers, and as vocalist with
innumerable vocal jazz groups and combos. Her most recent performances include a concert of children’s
songs, alto soloist in Handel’s Messiah, and a jazz concert benefiting Koats for Kids.

Realizing her passion for teaching, Kristina studied vocal pedagogy at the Victoria Conservatory of Music.
Her music education experience has brought her great rewards and she continues utilize her skills, working
with all ages and in a multitude of settings. Kristina lends her specialized instruction to all endeavors,
and has since created, conducted, and facilitated many classes and workshops for students of all ages.
Kristina has been teaching in London, ON since 2004.
